Lighthouse Stake pool
Focus on Africa
Lighthouse Stake Pool is a Cardano stake pool aiming to improve the decentralization and resiliance of the Cardano ecosystem.
African charitable stake pool. We donate 50% of our fixed fee to help sustaining very specific and well documented community scale projects in the absolute poorest countries in Africa.
Mission driven pool.
Focus on Africa
As our first goal we have chosen to raise 995 Euro in order to finance 5 individual pedal water pumps for use in crop irrigation in villages in the district of Mangochi (Malawi).
Malawi is one of the poorest countries in Africa with a high percentage of children suffering from malnutrition. Pedal water pumps are an invaluable asset for crop cultivation and will permit the villages to cope with food insecurity.
Water for all
Together with the association Aleimar we are drilling wells and installing manual water pumps in the district of Mangochi (Malawi), in order to provide the villages with clean drinking water.
For now we have helped finance one well, which is located in Chimwalire village. We have started collecting funds for the next well (location not yet determined)

Clean drinking water is sparse in many rural areas in Africa. Wells help prevent the spread of cholera and other diseases.
Malnutrition is the main cause of death and disease in the world. 45% of deaths among children under 5 are linked to undernutrition.
Lighthouse Stake Pool
Cardano strives to deliver positive global change and progress, and is commited to improving the living conditions of people in developing countries. We are proud to do our part in supporting the Cardano project by helping to make the system decentralized and sustainable.
We are a dedicated team, working hard to guarantee the best return on investment for our delegators and to increase the number of people that our charity programs reach.
Help us grow our pool and thereby grow our charity projects.
We constantly monitor our system and test all new updates before implementing.

No, the donations are given from our part of the rewards, not from yours. Your delegation helps the charity by increasing the size of the stake and thereby also the size of the reward allocated to the pool operator, 33% of which goes to the charity.
The size of the rewards is less constant, but over time the rewards are stastically the same as in a larger pool. In a small pool rewards come in waves.
The charity that we have chosen to donate to is called “Water for All” and is run by the volunteer organization Aleimar. The specific project we support regards villages in the Mangochi district in Malawi and provides pedal pumps for irrigation of crop fields.
Once we have reached our target of financing 5 irrigation pumps, we would like to finance wells for drinking water in the same region of Malawi. Clean drinking water helps prevent cholera and other diseases.
